What we collect

There are two kinds of information involved.

• Information you give us. When you submit the estimate form we collect your name, phone number, town or ZIP code, the type of work you need, and optionally your email address and any detail you type into the message box. We also record which page the form was submitted from, so we know what you were reading when you decided to get in touch.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics and advertising tools that record pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, the site or advert that referred you, and how you move through the site. This is collected through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity and, where enabled, the Meta pixel.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your estimate request and to carry out work you ask us to quote or do.
• To understand which pages and which adverts actually produce enquiries, so we stop paying for the ones that do not.
• To improve the website — for example, to see where people abandon the estimate form.
• To show you our adverts on Google, Facebook or Instagram after you have visited, where remarketing is enabled.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade or share your contact details with other contractors, lead-generation companies or marketing lists. If you ask us for a quote and do not go ahead, we do not pass you on to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make the site and the business work: our website host (Vercel), our email delivery provider, our analytics and advertising providers (Google, Microsoft, Meta), and — if we use one — our scheduling or customer management software. Each processes the data on our behalf. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but some measurement will be lost. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser add-on, and you can control advert personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.

How long we keep it

Estimate enquiries are kept for as long as they are commercially useful — typically up to three years, since repaint cycles are long and people often come back. Analytics data is retained according to the defaults of the platform concerned. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your enquiry and contact details.
• Ask us to stop contacting you — reply STOP to any text, or just tell us.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number we may contact you by text about your estimate or your job, because for most of our customers that is the fastest way to reach them. We may also send one message after a completed job asking for a review. We do not run marketing text campaigns. Reply STOP at any time and we will not text you again.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
